Beautiful 1968 Samco Warrior Cord Roadster

New to our Fairfield showroom is this beautiful 1968 Samco Warrior Cord 2 Door Convertible with Pearl White paint and a blue interior. It features a 302 CI V-8 engine under the hood with an automatic transmission, both of which have been recently rebuilt. It also comes nicely optioned with power steering, power windows, power brakes, a nice soft top, premium wheels, and an aftermarket stereo system.

One of 400 Built by William P. Lear’s SAMCO

This 1968 Samco Warrior Convertible was built by William P. Lear, the same mind behind inventing the Lear Jet. He founded the Sports Automobile Manufacturing Company (SAMCO) to build 1937 Cord 810 Convertible reproduction automobiles, and just over 400 of these desirable automobiles were built over a three year period. The current owner just completely rebuilt the engine and the transmission of this example, plus he redid all the original chrome, the blue interior/top and finished it off with pearl white exterior paint. It is a simply stunning classic automobile and it is in very nice overall condition.

In terms of actual performance, this 1968 Samco Warrior Cord Convertible has a very nice feel on the open road with nice handling, sufficient power and a great ride quality. The current owner informs us that this example has been driven sparingly over the decades to preserve it as much as possible, and it really shows in the way that it performs. This one needs nothing to be enjoyed immediately.
